Dana was born and raised in Manitoba. He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Law Degree at the University of Manitoba. He has been practicing as a lawyer in British Columbia since 1993. Dana has worked in many different legal settings, from one or two person offices to large Vancouver litigation firms. These different working environments have added to the experience Dana brings to each case. He has been working with Hemmerling and Associates since 2009.
Dana has appeared before all levels of Court in British Columbia. He has successfully argued Supreme Court Judge Alone Trials, Supreme Court Jury Trials and matters before the British Columbia Court of Appeal. While seeking all reasonable opportunities to resolve claims short of Trial, Dana realizes that to obtain a fair settlement, each case has to be prepared to be argued at Trial.
When not working, Dana can be found at the hockey rink or on the golf course; or more likely taking one of his three children to their various activities. Dana has resided in South East Kelowna since 2005. He has been a director on various not-for-profit societies in Kelowna including the Kelowna Child Care Society and East Kelowna Community Hall Association.
